Join Us at SXSW in Austin, TX for an Exclusive Version of NEXT

Startup Weekend and our partners Steve Blank and Startup America are excited to announce NEXT @ SXSW in Austin, TX! We're offering ten early stage startup teams the chance to get a four day program of action-based education centered around customer discovery and business model development.  At least one of the teams will be given a spot in an upcoming accelerator program, and each team selected will get special access to the Global Accelerator Network (GAN).

The Time to Apply is Now!

Apply by Friday, March 1st at 5pm PST. We'll notify the top ten on Tuesday, March 5th and the program begins on Friday, March 8th.

The program kicks off on Friday, March 8th at 6pm and continues through March 11th. Through the course of the program, you’ll be expected to interview customers and present your insights at daily sessions with program instructor Eric Koester and other world-class mentors.

Schedule

NEXT @ SXSW is an intensive, four day customer discovery bootcamp.  Expect to spend at least two hours per day in the classroom with Steve Blank and your mentors, with the rest of each day spent working one-on-one with mentors and doing on-the-ground customer discovery.

REQUIRED: Kick-off and Instructions + Teams Reception Friday 4-6 pm

REQUIRED: NEXT Classroom Session 10-12 Sat, Sun, Mon

REQUIRED: Teams will be expected to spend 4-8 hours outside of class each day doing customer interviews and preparing for the next day's class

OPTIONAL: Teams will have "priority access to all office hours and program sessions hosted by Startup America"

The Fine Print

  • You must be a team (at least 2 people)
  • You must be attending SXSW or willing to attend SXSW (and have a badge or be willing to purchase a badge)
  • Your team has not (a) attended an accelerator or incubator program; or (b) raised more than $250,000
